במצבי מלחמה נשים, נערות וילדות חשופות למגוון סיכונים ופגיעות נוספים לאלו שחשופה להן כלל האוכלוסייה האזרחית. אפגניסטן תחת שלטון הטאליבן מהווה דוגמא קיצונית לנושא, ולמקומיים וזרים כאחד ברור שמצבן של הנשים האפגניות, שאפשרויות פעולה ועשיה נרחבות נפתחו בפניהן בשני העשורים האחרונים, השתנה באופן דרמטי מאז כיבוש המדינה בידי הטאליבן ועומד להשתנות עוד יותר עם עזיבת הכוחות הבינלאומיים בסוף אוגוסט. יחד עם הפגיעות הגוברת, נשים רבות נמצאות במרכזן של קהילות ורשתות חברתיות ברמה המקומית והבינלאומית, מה שמאפשר להן להיות סוכנות פעולה ושינוי.
השבוע האחרון של אוגוסט היה בסימן בהלת עזיבה, שהתאפשרה בעיקר למי שעבדו ונקשרו בדרכים אלו ואחרות עם הקהילה הבינלאומית הענפה (מה שהגביר את גורם הסיכון בהשארותןם), הצליחו להכנס לרשימות החילוץ ולהגיע פיזית לשדה התעופה בקאבול.
ביום רביעי ה-1 לספטמבר, התכנסנו בכדי לשוחח עם שתי נשים שפעלו בכדי לחלץ קולגות ומכרים מהמדינה ועם עיתונאית אפגנית אחת שנותרה מאחור.

In war situations, women and girls are exposed to additional risks, beyond the ones that the general civilian population is exposed to. Afghanistan under the Taliban is an extreme example for such additional vulnerabilities. It is clear to locals and foreigners alike that the situation of Afghan women, whose freedoms and opportunities were extended during the past two decades, has changed dramatically since the Taliban took over Kabul. Along with the growing vulnerability, many women are also involved in various local and international communities and social networks, enabling them to maintain some levels of agency.
The end of August was marked by a massive & urgent departure from the country. Leaving was available Afghans (and their families) who worked with the vast international forces, were recognized as such and placed in countries’ rescue lists, and were able to physically arrive the Kabul Airport.
On Wednesday, September 1, we talked to two women who worked to assist colleagues and acquaintances leave the country and with an Afghan journalist left behind.
