Why do experts in foreign policy and other spheres need to recognize untapped resources to avert or resolve conflict? How do gender stereotypes impact public policies, particularly regarding war and peace? What have women’s experiences been, across cultures, in confronting violent conflict? What are examples of individual countries’ successes and failures, vis-à-vis women, peace, and security? What steps can any of us (including current and future policy makers) take to shape our culture so that we fully benefit from the strengths and expertise of 100% of the population?
